The first VSIPL™ Tutorial and Users Group Meeting is scheduled for February 27-28, 2002.  It will be held in the Robert Ferst Center for the Arts on the Georgia Tech campus in midtown Atlanta, Georgia.

The presentations will be given by speakers intimately involved with the development and use of the VSIPL standard. Planned speakers include:

  • Dr. Mark Richards, Co-Chair of the VSIPL Forum and a Principal Research Engineer at the Georgia Tech Research Institute
  • Dr. James Lebak, Co-Chair of the VSIPL Forum and a Member of the Techical Staff at the M.I.T. Lincoln Laboratory
  • Mr. Rick Pancoast, Co-Chair of the VSIPL Forum and a Member of the Techical Staff at Lockheed Martin Corporation,
  • Mr. Randy Judd, developer of the TASP VSIPL publicly available reference implementation and editor of the VSIPL API document, and a scientist at the U.S. Navy SPAWAR Systems Center, San Diego
  • Mr. Dan Campbell, developer of the TASP VSIPL compliance test suite and a Research Engineer at the Georgia Tech Research Institute

REGISTRATION

The $50.00 registration fee includes the following materials:

  • Hard copy of all presentation viewgraphs
  • A CD-ROM including pdf files of all presentations, as well as pdf copies of the VSIPL 1.01 API and related documents; the TASP VSIPL reference implementation and test suite C code; and links to VSIPL product vendor information
  • Break refreshments
Attendees are responsible for their own daily parking fees and meals. Food service is available in the Georgia Tech Student Center, just a few short steps away, and at nearby restaurants.

    * North on I-75 or I-85 toward Atlanta. (At the airport, I-85 North)
    * I-75 and I-85 will merge
    * Exit at 10th Street/Georgia Tech

    * Go to the 4th traffic light (about 3/4 mile)
    * Left on Hemphill Avenue
    * Go to the stop sign which is at Ferst Drive
    * Turn Right onto Ferst Ave. Student Center Lot is on the left past parking deck.
