The VSIPL Forum is a volunteer organization made up of industry, government, users, and academia representatives who are working to define an industry standard API for vector, signal, and image processing primitives for embedded real-time signal processing systems. The VSIPL Forum developed the original VSIPL API over the period 1996 to 2002 and has continued to maintain it since that time. VSIPL Forum meetings are now being held quarterly, in conjunction with the High Performance Embedded Computing Software Initiative (HPEC-SI) program development working group. The combined group has developed and approved specifications for the VSIPL++ v1.01 API, an object-oriented C++ binding for VSIPL, and for Parallel VSIPL++ 1.0. The VSIPL Forum welcomes organizations interested in furthering development of the VSIPL API. Participation requires a willingness to actively participate, including attending VSIPL Forum meetings. If you are interested in contributing to VSIPL, please send e-mail to the forum chairs at vsipl-chairs@lists.gatech.edu The current VSIPL co-chairs are:
