TRAVEL DIRECTIONS TO GOVERNMENT ELECTRONIC
SYSTEMS DIVISION MOORESTOWN, NEW JERSEY:
From the Philadelphia International Airport
From Airport exit, turn right towards Philadelphia, following signs to I-95 North. Follow I-95 North to I-76 East. Follow I-76 East, crossing Walt Whitman Bridge into New Jersey. At the New Jersey side of the bridge follow signs to I-295 north. You will need to cross into the local lanes of I-76 to gain access to the exit so pay close attention to signs and stay towards the right most lane. Take exit for I-295 North (toward Trenton)
Leave I-295 at Exit 40B (Moorestown) onto Route 38 West. As you enter Route 38, you will see the GESD plant to your right across open fields. Take first right onto Marter Avenue. Turn right at first traffic light onto Marne Highway. Plant entrance is on your left. Visitor parking is to the left of the entrance driveway.
From Wilmington, Baltimore and points south
Cross Delaware Memorial Bridge into New Jersey from I-95. Immediately after the bridge, pick up I-295 North and follow directions in second paragraph.
From New York City and points north
Travel south on New Jersey Turnpike. Leave Turnpike at Interchange 4, turning north on Route 73 toward Philadelphia and Tacony-Palmyra Bridge. About 300 yards beyond first traffic light take I-295 North and follow directions in second paragraph above. If traveling south on I-295, leave I-295 at Exit 40 and take Route 38 West. Follow directions in second paragraph.
From points west
Follow Pennsylvania Turnpike to New Jersey Turnpike South on New Jersey Turnpike and follow directions paragraph immediately above.
The VSIPL meeting is in the main building on Marter Avenue. Just park in the visitor's lot and walk past the flagpole into the main lobby. The meeting room is in that building.
Note for those going to MIT/Lincoln Lab on Wednesday, 8/22 - 23. You can either go back to Philly airport and fly into Boston Logan, or, and I think the better way, you can drive to Trenton (about 20 - 30 minutes North) Mercer County airport and fly directly into Hanscom (Bedford) airport, which is actually adjacent to Lincoln Laboratory, via Shuttle America (www.shuttleamerica.com). There are Avis and Hertz rental counters at Hanscom. It's up to you - but you can avoid the Big Dig in Boston.
